Our limited enrollment and experienced staff provide campers with a safe nurturing environment, and paced activities. Each camper is paired with a designated camp counselor to assist them throughout their stay, ensuring they receive the help and support needed to enjoy a memorable and enriching experience. Our campers thrive in our small group setting which promotes participation in fun accessible camp activities like boat rides, adaptive swimming and archery. Our clinical team are on site 24/7 to provide medical assistance, manage medication administration and triage episodic events.

We maintain a strict 1:1 ratio for the duration of this session. It is important to note that camp staff do not sleep in the same room as campers; staff are housed next door or in a bedroom nearby in order to provide assistance in the night as needed, and our accommodation is not locked at night. Our desire is to provide camping experiences to all adults with disabilities, however, our current programs do require certain minimum levels of cooperation, safety awareness, and displays of behavior that would be appropriate for a shared group living environment such as camp.

If you’re unsure if Grotonwood will be suitable please contact the office at (978) 448 5763.
